after i passed past a certain test and got certified, my husband gave me one of the things in my checklist, a notebook.  although Iive been eyeing one of hp notebooks, what he gave to me fits in to the specs that i wanted.

since i’m into blogging, i bring my laptop everywhere.  even with our out of town trips, i upload the pictures that i’ve taken right away.  sometime’s i am wishing that my hubby will give me two portable printers.  i need two because, i need one for the pictures, some sort of a photo printer and one for just printing a regular document.

we just came back from a trip in tagaytay.  here in the philippines, not all have wifi spots.  so i have to go to starbucks and buy a card for to use their wifi.  and a lot of people are there with their notebooks.

i just realized that a lot of people are dependent on technology.  i admit that i don’t think i can live with my laptop.  i check my emails after I got up, then somewhere in the middle of the day, then before i go to sleep.  i sometimes neglect my hubby because of it.

well…still…for me it’s just hard to live without it…

i know that everybody (almost) have credit cards.  if i haven’t cancelled my credit cards, i might be using four now and might die of credits.  having a credit card is not bad,  although having one must posses a lot of self discipline.  you only use your credit card with the things you need.  at least you have to know the way you spend or how many times you use it.  you also have to know the things that you’re charging with it.  there are some free credit report that would help you in managing your credit card.

also, if you’re like me that have several cards,  my advise is you have to compare credit cards. look for the interest rates of different cards, and just try to use one.  there was a time that my salary and my husband’s ends up in paying credit card bills.  what i did is one by one, i eliminated my cards ( he also have credit cards).  although, we didn’t stop using it,  we were able to lessen our expenses.

i know that a lot of people are now dependent in credit cards. again for me, i’m not against it.  just be careful in using it.  there are free credit reports out there.  if you’re having problem in managing your debts, please try one.

when i was young, i always wonder what it will be like to have powers.  at first, i wanted to be a fairy.  every christmas, i wish that santa will give me a magic wand so that i can get whatever I want.  though luck though…every year i got heartbroken (i know…i believed in santa).

when i was in grade school, i was mesmerized by superhero cartoons.  i’ve wanted to be firestar or spiderwoman. then came the x-men.  at first, i wanted to be jubilee.  but then i realized how pathetic her powers are, i shifted to jean grey.  it’s so cool to have powers like hers.  able to read other people’s mind, move things just by thinking it.  and when she becomes phoenix…man…so powerful.  she can have the galaxy at her mercy.  till now i am fascinated by jean grey.  i watched the x-men trilogy.  i also have the x-men series in my ipod.  i also owned several x-men comics, one that i have featured the death of jean.  she was killed by a sentinel.

i was surfing the net one time and i came across this superhero quiz. It’s a cool quiz and if you’re such a superhero fanatic, i suggest for you to try taking the quiz.

after the quiz, you will see what kind of superhero you are.  you will also have a badge.  here’s mine….

Quiz brought to you by Buy Costumes

hope you enjoy taking the quiz as much as i did…

do you guys have the same problem as i am?!!! english is not my native language…though here in the philippines it is our second language, still, i find it difficult to sometimes speak english fluently or write in english.

since english is our second language, we have english subjects from grade school till college. one of the things i hate (still hate) is essay writing.  i am not good in writing, let alone writing it in english.  i find it difficult to compose my thoughts and how to construct a sentence that has no grammatical error.  some of my teachers (former) gives custom essay and i just wanna drop the subject and get out…which of course i didn’t do because my parents will kill me…though somehow I was able to overcome it.

on the other hand, my mother is very good in writing in english.  she doesn’t seem to problem in expressing her thoughts.  She was a college professor and one time she was assigned to take the minutes of the meeting by the dean of their department.  after she handed the minutes, the dean complimented what she did and said that it was his first time to get that kind of memo.

i am very much thankful for my mother in giving me support with my english difficulty.  she gives me advice in custom writing, pointing out the subject-verb agreement and stuff.  although i still have lapses (as you can see) I can somehow express myself a better compared before.  she told me that the key is to read and read…

there are lot of insurance nowadays and it seems that everybody are getting insured.  who would blame them?!!! no one knows when an accident will come.  it is better to be prepared than having to deal with the loss and have to pay for it.

here in the philippines, insurance is not that rampant.  people just  get a life, health, or memorial insurance.  some get auto insurance for their cars.  with gasses going up nowadays, i think it will be hard on people to pay for the damages if an accident comes.  if you’re at fault, not only will you pay the damages of your own vehicle, but you also have to pay for the other party, also, if the person needs medical assistance, you will also shoulder that expense.  it is wise to get car insurance to have your self at least not worry financially.

here in the philippines, not everyone are required to have an insurance unlike other countries like us or canada.  here it is more  of an option if you want to avail one.  the people here just usually pray that nothing happens to their house or car.

i have a sister in us and canada that sometimes find it not practical to pay insurances.  i can’t blame them because almost everything is insured. though it also has its advantages.  my sister doesn’t worry about medical expenses whenever she get sick.  at least they have peace of mind when it comes to that matter.

i have a friend in california that just purchased a new bmw and of course with  it comes a california car insurance.  she’s an accountant so i guess that’s a no biggie to pay for it.  at least she don’t have to worry about anything when something happens.

me? we have a car with no insurance…i guess just the insurance mandated by the government.  So far i’m always praying when i’m out of the road.  i guess a prayer is my insurance

spending problem…

i hate to admit it but I have a problem in handling finances…

i find it difficult to handle money matters.  my hubby and i are both working, living a not-so extravagant life.  my hubby gives me all his salary and i just give him money that he needs in a daily basis.  i am in task of budgeting the money, allocating some on bills, grocery, etc.  i find it difficult sometimes because our salary combined is not enough.  especially in paying credit cards.  my hubby and i, when we want something we always charge it.  even if we don’t need it.  that’s why when the billing statement comes, we don’t know what to do or where to get the money to pay for it.

i don’t want to be stuck on bad credit loans either.  the interest are so high that you’ll be in debt even more.  i am also looking on some debt consolidation sites so that i can manage my debts. i need help in lowering down my expenses.  there are also some debt management programs that can re-negotiate the payments and interest rates.  There are also debt consolidators that can teach me how to handle bills or budget money.

i hope i find the best debt consolidation out there…i am desperate.  i can’t handle this situation alone…and so far i can’t rely to my hubby either (no offense honey).

i also think that there are some sites that offers free  consultation via phone.   they have debt counselors that will  spend time with you regarding your financial status.   they will even offer  some solutions on how to save money and how to get out of debt. even if you have bad credit.

if you guys are also suffering the same problem as I am, lets get help.  i can’t wait to be a debt free person.

here are some of the places where I want to go…

first is canada.  i’ve been longing to go there for several years.  main reason is to  see my brother and sister.  also, i think it has a fantastic scenery.   two years to go…Iive been saving so that I can attend our family reunion.

then there is united states. mainly because i wanna go to places that I’ve seen in movies and tv shows. i also have a sister that lives in lubbock texas.  though it is not much of a tourist spot, my sister says that the people there are very friendly.

i like to go to canada and united states mainly because i want to visit my family.  but the first place that i want to go if I want to travel will be the united kingdom.

united kingdom is known for its history.  not only that it is rich in culture and scenery and i heard people are hospitable too.  i wonder if i can go there someday.  maybe if I won the lottery (not that I’m buying tickets).

uk’s culture have their own preserved and distinctive heritage, customs and symbolism.

and the scenery…here are the some of the places in london that i want to visit…

-          tower of london

-          st. paul’s church

-          westminster abbey

-          british museum

-          victoria & albert

-          natural history

-          buckingham palace

-          kennsington palace

-          windsor

-          hyde park

-          kennsington palace gardens

and i want to shop in portobello road (a flea market). or harrod’s: knightsbridge though it is closed on sundays. oxford street: hyde park corner to oxford circus, regent street: oxford circus, covent garden will also do…

i also want to ride the famous double decker bus ride.

i also wanna go to concerts.  i found a cool site called viagogo. You can get concert and sports tickets on that site. so if wonder where you can get steve coogan tickets online, that’s the site to check.  Iim more or an mushy and upbeat songs so i want to get some stevie wonder tickets.  i just watched ally mcbeal and  tina turner was a guest. i may checkout some tina turner tickets.

so far, I’ve never been out of the philippines.  heck, i haven’t even explored it yet.

my hubby and i should start saving now.  who knows, we may be able to go there after ten years (finger crossed).

sometimes i find blogging difficult.  not only do i  have to manage my time, since i am managing two blogs, but to write your posts in english is kind of hard for me.

i’m a filipino, english is not my native language.  so you have to spare me if you see some grammatical and spelling error every now and then.

i’m bad in constructing sentences.  talk about essays. though english subject is not my waterloo, i hated essays.  my classmates and I used to compare and contrast essay. there was one time back in college wherein we were asked to write an essay (i forgot the title) then my english professor will pick a representative in our class to join the university essay writing contest.  my good friend ivy wrote like a 100 word essay and she got picked.  she is like a whiz in writing.

and don’t get me started with research papers. i’m shameful to admit it but I sometimes just copy the content of the book. with a little paraphrasing (lol). luckily, my mom is also good in english.  she helps me edit my research (re-search).

sometimes i wonder if there is a site where you can just buy essay.  like give them the title then boom, there goes your essay.  i think there are lot of sites like that this days, so people like me can get help.
